7. The working poor are people who work one or two jobs and still are struggling to get by because they are only on minimum wage. They have little to no room for spending money and are in debt or at risk because of unforeseen hospital bills or other unpredictable problems.

6. I do agree that minimum wage should be raised to ten dollars an hour, 8.50 per hour after taxes is hardly any money to live off of let alone raise a child. Some family can not get a job that pays more than minimum wage due to levels of education or dilemmas in the past. But, its just not fair to be paying people such little and expecting them to be able to have a nice comfortable life.
